Is Calnote free to use?
Yes. Writing in your calendar journal is free. An optional membership (monthly, yearly or lifetime) unlocks App Lock, Dynamic Island quick entry and exclusive share templates.
Where is my journal data stored?
On your device by default. If you enable it, sync happens through Apple iCloud / CloudKit private database under your own Apple ID — there is no Calnote server and no account.
Which devices does Calnote support?
iPhone and iPad running iOS 26 or later, with home screen and lock screen widgets, Siri & Shortcuts support, and a Dynamic Island quick-entry experience.
Can I export my entries?
Yes. Export any entry as Markdown for backup or further writing, and share days as beautifully designed cards, retro receipts or memo-style images.
Does the calendar show lunar dates?
In Chinese, the monthly calendar highlights today, lunar dates and recorded days; other languages show a clean Gregorian view.
